About Charlotte Sobeck

“I truly love what I do for a living; it is a career of the heart.” — Charlotte Sobeck, MSOM, L.Ac.

Charlotte is a fifth generation Austinite, She holds a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. She earned Diplomates in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine with the National Commission for Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and holds Acupuncture License #AC00612 with the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.

Charlotte has over 20 years experience practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) — Now practicing all aspects of Chinese Medicine in her own business, Seasons Health.  Past experience includes practicing 7 years in two TCM Fertility Clinics — specializing in fertility, prenatal, postpartum and pediatric care,  1 year in an Austin community clinic, and over 3 years at Peoples RX Wellness Center North with their team of functional medicine practitioners.

Arriving at her passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine was a winding road.  Charlotte first worked many years as a local and state government consultant  for an Austin law firm, McGinnis, Lochridge and Kilgore.  While working in the legal field, Charlotte received a bachelors degree from the University of Texas in Photojournalism.  She wrote for Tejas, a UT magazine focused on minority issues and exhibited her photographs locally for years.  She also taught photojournalism for 2 years in an after school enrichment program at Zavala Elementary in a low socio-economic neighborhood.

After graduating from UT, Charlotte sought relief from allergies and asthma she’d had since childhood.  Impressed by the quick and deep healing she found in TCM, Charlotte independently studied the modality then attended graduate school to become a TCM practitioner.  In this field, Charlotte returns to a lifetime passion for healing.  She enjoys connecting her patients to the vital role they play in their own health and well-being, the importance of a local/seasonal diet, good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle.  Through their own dedication and Charlotte’s guidance, patients experience optimal and vibrant health.

After having a child at an advanced maternal age with the support of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Charlotte was guided to specialize in TCM fertility, prenatal, postpartum and pediatric care. Charlotte also practices and teaches pediatric Tui Na, an acupressure massage for infants and children that helps strengthen the immune system and treat common childhood health issues.

Charlotte practices in her own business Seasons Health, at The Acupuncture Cabin in a North Central Austin Neighborhood.   Charlotte continues to give her patients the individualized personal care she always has, alongside the esteemed team of integrative functional medicine practitioners she has practiced with along the way.

Charlotte also offers home visits for Acupuncture and Pediatric Tui Na, and offers Telehealth visits as well.  Holistic Healthcare Coaching are a part of all her treatments.

Trained and experienced in all aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Charlotte looks forward to being a part of your families wellness resource team.
