Community Acupuncture Clinic in the Allandale, Crestview and Brentwood Neighborhood

Acupuncture Together on Burnet Road in North Central Austin isn’t your everyday acupuncture clinic, but it could be as it’s affordable enough ($28 for initial visits and followups) to visit for a period of consecutive days to more quickly heal an acute injury or issue.  We are open 7 days a week with evening and weekend hours!

I recently joined Ashley O’Brian, the owner at Acupuncture Together.  We are both experienced acupuncturists in the Austin community, and have each lived in the Brentwood neighborhood for more than 15 years.  Acupuncture Together is centrally located — an easy walk for neighbors in Crestview, Allandale and Brentwood, and an easy drive from other Austin neighborhoods.  Our  acupuncture model allows us to charge less because we give individualized treatments in a group setting, making acupuncture more accessible and affordable for all those who would like to reap the benefits of this ancient healing art.

All walks of life and ethnicities visit Acupuncture Together to receive healing collectively in one room.  When you first enter our clinic you are greeted by Maxine or Madelyn’s lovely smile and friendly demeanor.  If you are a new patient, one of them will give you the lowdown then send you into the treatment room with instructions to grab the comfort accessories you choose — pillow, blanket, eye mask, ear plugs — and kick back in one of the 10 cozy recliners to make yourself comfortable while you wait for the acupuncturist to come to you.   The moment you step through the curtain from the lobby into the treatment room you feel the energy of this cozy peaceful space. The room is filled with strangers, but they are all here like you to receive acupuncture.  You don’t talk with each other, or make eye contact, yet everyone is partaking in the powerful collective healing process.  A warm amber glow, and the tranquil sound of relaxing music combined with the soft breathing of people in a deep state of relaxation all culminate into the overall relaxing experience as the needles do their work.

Acupuncture has been around for centuries and is still doing it’s work tried and true.   At Acupuncture Together we treat a multitude of conditions including migraines, headaches, allergy and sinus issues, ADD/ADHD, pain and inflammation, anxiety and depression, menopausal symptoms, post-surgical recovery, insomnia and fatigue, hormonal imbalances, fertility issues, prenatal, pregnancy, and postpartum care and more!  Acupuncture is nice to help you unwind and relax after a long day, and parents — children who can quietly relax in a chair and are open to receiving acupuncture tend to benefit from it as well.  My teenager and his friends say it helps them relax after a busy day at school,  a long sports event, or before a big exam!

Acupuncture helps your body settle into a deep relaxation so energy flows more freely, unwinding stuck energy that can cause pain and imbalance.  A drug can cause unwanted side effects, and often only  treats the symptoms, leaving the root cause unaddressed.  This ancient art reminds your body of its innate healing ability when it has lost its way, helping to restore a healthy pattern in the body’s memory.  Our bodies know what to do,  they just need a reminder sometimes!

It’s a wonderful time of year to take a stroll to our neighborhood clinic, Make your appointment with Ashley or Charlotte at  Hours available 7 days a week.  Walk-ins welcome if space is available.

I completely agree. I’ve been going weekly for a couple of years. I feel like Ashley and Maxine are part of my family. They are so caring, friendly and a pleasure to know. I will look forward to getting to know you, Charlotte.
